Cheap Affordable Web Site Hosting

Cheap affordable website hosting is fine as long as you know up front what you’re getting for your money. You know the drill. It happens every day both online and off. Companies lure you in with a low price. Then once you get to their site or in the door of their business you find out there’s a catch. Car dealers are notorious for this. My apologies if you are a car dealer but it’s the truth.

So while you’re online shopping for your cheap affordable website hosting, check out the fine print so to speak.

Are they giving you everything you need to host your site successfully? After being online now for five years and building several websites of my own, here’s what I’ve come to look for when choosing my hosting service.

Make sure you get enough bandwidth included in the price. If you don’t do what bandwidth is here’s a short description. Every time a page loads on your website bandwidth is used. The more graphics pictures and large files that load on the page the more bandwidth that is used. So the more visitors you have your site + the more graphics pictures etc. you have on the page that loads, the more bandwidth you will require.

Make sure you get enough disk space. You can determine this by how much content you plan to have on your site. Do you plan to have a lot of content (articles, etc.). Do you plan to have a lot of pictures, graphics, videos, audios, etc. All of these things require you to have more disk space. It’s no different than your own personal computer.

Do they offer you 24/7 customer support? I’m going to highly recommend to you that you make sure you have this from any web hosting company you choose. There is nothing more aggravating than to have a problem with your site and not to be up to talk to someone and immediately about it. I’ve been there.

Started online with not much money. Didn’t know what I was doing in choosing a cheap affordable web site hosting provider and thought I would do the ultra cheap route and only spend a couple of bucks a month for hosting. Big mistake. Had all kinds of problems. Had to e-mail for support. Maybe they get back to you maybe they don’t. A real pain.
